How to Search

From the home page, users can immediately start searching within the general search bar on the left. This is automatically set to general keyword searches.

The three dots to the right of the bar will give additional options beyond general keyword searches. A quick break down of each of them is as follows:

  1. Keyword will give you the broadest results.
  2. Boolean allows you to use operators that can further specify search terms.
        Boolean operators include:
            AND for more focused results.
            OR for broader results.
            NOT to exclude irrelevant terms.
  3. Exact match is the narrowest of search terms and should be used when looking for a specific article title, author, or subject.

Additionally, there is an option for advanced search within items in the collection. This feature allows for further narrowing and gives the option to search by subject, title, publication, or even ID number (e.g., DOIs).
