Description

This paper describes the implementation of synchrophasor-based analysis as a part of Peak Reliability Synchrophasor Project (PRSP). A real-time situational awareness framework that utilizes Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) data was demonstrated to improve resilience of the grid and enhance its reliability. The real-time analysis framework presented in this paper includes linear state estimation, bad data detection and conditioning, observability analysis, creation of PMU-based state estimator cases, and performing advanced analysis using these cases. This paper discusses the implementation of the ROSE application as a part of the PRSP project, called PMU-ROSE.
