Description

Because of climate change, power outages caused by severe weather are on the rise. Several researchers and policymakers have been involved in characterizing energy resilience and reliability to highlight the findings and incorporate them into future work on grid resilience and reliability. This paper meets these objectives, which focus on the grid integration of renewable energy sources in Bangladesh. Division-by-division, the Bangladeshi electricity grid’s resilience, and reliability are assessed. The Bangladesh map is modeled based on these calculations, highlighting each division’s resilience and reliability. To improve these two crucial sectors, enhancement options are developed for each division. Two types of enhancement options are considered in this paper from both renewable energy and physical structure. Analytical Hierarchy Process is to set the priority among different enhancement options for each division. Resilience and reliability are reevaluated at the divisional level after enhancement.
